Steve Joordens is the director of the University of Toronto, Scarborough’s Advanced Learning Technologies Lab, where he uses an evidence-based approach to create and assess the efficacy and usability of educational technologies.  He has received numerous awards for his work, including a 2009 National Technology Innovation Award and a 2015 3M National Teaching Fellowship, the highest Canadian award for sustained impact on postsecondary education.
