S. Brenda Small is vice president of the Centre for Policy in Aboriginal Learning at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, ON. She is also the founding chair of the provincial Indigenous Peoples Education Circle, where Aboriginal educators collaborate to improve and build exemplary practices in Aboriginal learning. Of Cree ancestry, she was the dean of the indigenous studies programs and student support services for Aboriginal learners at Confederation’s Negahneewin College and has worked in postsecondary education for more than 20 years.
